A new year means new cruise ships are on the horizon, and 2023 is shaping up to be a significant year for the industry. Several major cruise lines are set to debut new vessels, each offering unique features and experiences. In addition to American Cruise Lines’ (ACL) new American Serenade riverboat, joining the fleet in 2023, the domestic brand will also welcome a pair of new coastal cruise ships.

The first cruise itineraries have the Viva sailing through the Mediterranean region of Europe with stops in various countries like Spain, Italy and France. New for Virgin on Resilient Lady will be classic supper club show, Another Rose, where cabaret will meet the theatrical.
Virgin Voyages is light-years ahead of the pack when it comes to cruise entertainment. Instead, Virgin scouts acts from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and works with underground theaters in NYC to create something all-new at sea. Intimate venues quite literally immerse passengers in some shows, and the effortlessly diverse casts further the line's come-as-you-are ethos. Expect drag queens, Greek mythology, existential gameshows and quite a bit of skin.
